Birthday Celebrations at RMCH!
Patients, staff and visitors recently celebrated Royal Manchester Children's Hospital second birthday during a week-long party! The atrium was decorated with two banners including one made by our young patients, balloons and pictures, also drawn by the patients.
Singer January, who performed at the Christmas party, returned to RMCH to kick off proceedings in the atrium on Monday, before a fabulous party in the Teenzone on Tuesday. We had not one, but four visitors on Wednesday when Greater Manchester Police's Tactical Aid Unit, Mary Poppins, Peter Sings the Blues and the Royal Northern College of Music dropped into entertain the staff.
RMCH Divisional Director Alwyn Hughes, said: "It was a great week. We thought last year's celebration would be difficult to top, but the Therapeutic and Specialised Play staff did a great job of ensuring that the entire week was fun from start to finish. On behalf of the hospital, I would like to thank everyone who came in to help us celebrate as it really makes a difference to our young patients."
