Making an appointment

Referrals to the Dermatology team can be made via your GP. Please advise your GP if you wish to be referred to us.

Clinics

Our clinics are led by consultants at Trafford General Hospital, Stretford Memorial Hospital and Altrincham General Hospital. There are also three minor operation clinics held per week.

We also offer an acne and cryosurgery service run by Sister Ann Booth, our dermatology specialist nurse.

The Dermatology service has close links with wound healing and runs joint clinics with Tissue Viability Nurse Rob Oldfield for leg ulcers and the Trafford Community Nursing Team for children with eczema.

We also work closely with the following surgeons for benign and malignant skin tumours:

• ENT skin lead - Mr Atef El Kholy
• General surgery skin lead - Mr Mahdy Borghol
• Maxillofacial surgery - Mr Richard Lloyd

Our team

There are two Consultant Dermatologists (Dr Jennifer Yell and Dr Farzana Nayeemuddin), an Associate Specialist and a General Practitioner with a special interest in dermatology.

Admission:

Dermatology is mainly an outpatient service. Admissions can be arranged under exceptional circumstances.

Location:

Trafford General, Altrincham General and Stretford Memorial Hospitals.

Hours:

Clinics vary for each consultant and run during the daytime, Mondays to Fridays only.
