Research and Innovation

Our patients are at the centre of all our research efforts, and we are using research to make a real difference to people's lives.

At Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust health is our business.  Research and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, meaning we are committed to ensuring that patients get high quality care, as well as continuous improvement. We are also continously working to bring efficiencies and improved systems to healthcare.

One way we drive improvements is through research.  Research is all about finding new knowledge that could lead to changes to treatments, policies or care.  We conduct world-leading research in a number of disease areas.

Success relies upon collaboration and, with this in mind, we work with patients, other researchers and industry to improve healthcare.  Located on the largest clinical-academic campus in Europe, our research infrastructure is aligned with The University of Manchester, to enable us to effectively translate research into clinical practice.
