patients at our Trust are being invited to take part in an exciting
new campaign to make the experience of giving and receiving care
What Matters To Me is a new and personalised
approach to patient experience at CMFT. It is based on
extensive work with our patients and staff to identify what is
important to them, and then to ensure this becomes the focus of how
we deliver excellent patient care and services.
Continuously improving the experience for our patients and their
families is a key priority for our Trust. To help us do this,
we learn from direct patient feedback, compliments and complaints
as well as surveys such as the Friends and Family Test and local
and national surveys. All this information shows that we are
steadily improving the patient experience, and we are consistently
performing at the same level as many other Trusts, with some areas

outstanding patient experience consistently across every
area. We want What Matters To Me to be the
catalyst that helps us move from good to excellent," said Chief
Nurse Cheryl Lenney.
Patients, their families and all our staff are being invited to
write down what matters to them and send us a photo - download a comment bubble to fill in

"What Matters To Me is intended to give all our
staff the confidence to ask patients 'what matters to you?, to
listen to the individual needs of everyone who uses our services
and to respond to those needs in ways which demonstrate our core
values in action," added Trust Chairman Kathy Cowell.

excellent patient experience, and what matters to me is to inspire
and lead our Trust to be the best and deliver excellent care at the
right time, in the right way."
